I write, speak, and teach about technology, cybersecurity, scams, artificial intelligence, and the ways our increasingly digital world affects real people.
With nearly 30 years in the technology industry, I bring real-world experience to complex subjects and make them practical, understandable, and useful.
Technology touches nearly every part of our lives, but understanding it shouldn't require being a technology expert. My work focuses on what happens where technology and people meet: how we stay safe, how we recognize manipulation, how new tools change our behavior, and how we make sure people aren't left behind.
I explore those questions through professional presentations, community education, writing, and advocacy.

I provide practical, accessible presentations and training for professional organizations, businesses, senior-serving organizations, nonprofits, and community groups.
Topics include cybersecurity, scams and social engineering, artificial intelligence, digital safety, technology accessibility, and the human side of security.

I write about technology through the lens of the people using it. My weekly newspaper column explores everything from AI and cybersecurity to scams, accessibility, privacy, and the strange ways technology has worked its way into everyday life.
I also publish a monthly newsletter to an audience of over 10,000 readers covering critical technical news and scam prevention education.

For nearly 30 years, I've worked directly with individuals and businesses to solve technology problems, improve security, and make technology easier to live and work with.
My hands-on technology work is provided through my business, Quietech Associates, Inc.
